My Wife has been attending pheonix day care since its conception, not only does she thoroughly enjoy her time there, I am given complete piece of mind whilst she is there. I always pick her up with a smile on her face, i can think of no better place for her to have spent the day.

The Welly-Ukes Show Band have been regularly playing at Phoenix Day center in Northampton since it opened. Of all the venues and audiences we play for Phoenix are our favourite for these reasons.
A) The professionalism of the staff and the care they give the clients as we play.
B) The reaction we get from all with singing along and dancing.
C) Splendid refreshments and chat in the show interval.
D) As we finish the show with We'll Meet Again it is very appropriate as we look forward to visiting again.

Ian so enjoyed his time at the centre and was always happy to go. And for for those few hours knowing that he was safe and being well cared for I could have a little bit of Sally time. After he died I became a volunteer to give something back and to try and be a rainbow in someone else's storm. Because we're all in this together and having a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen can make all the difference to someone whose struggling.

« A few words
about us »

My inspiration came from my own personal and professional experience of dementia care. I know how much the support given to families by the day centre means to them; often it’s the difference between laughter and struggle. Having our clients with us is a very worthwhile experience for all the staff and volunteers.
